A property with a dazzling view of the Columbia River Gorge just east of Portland, Oregon needed a whole-house upgrade. The 60's structure had seen little in the way of improvements over the decades. The new owners love the mid-century vibe, and wanted relaxed comfort and lots of space for entertaining. We envisioned a chic, slightly 70's, throwback that was heavy on Old Hollywood glamour.

Our curtains are all hand-sewn locally. Yes, you can get cheaper products that are machine-made with fusible web, but bespoke methods are more beautiful, more durable, and more tailored. Walls—especially in historic homes—are rarely perfectly square. We measure precisely to accommodate these variations. This way the fabrics are perfect even if the walls are not.

St. Petersburg chiseled limestone wall tile from Ann Sacks surrounds the fireplace.
